Local Wild Food Challenge

Get out into the wild and find, forage and feast on your gatherings at Ireland’s first Local Wild Food Challenge. The Local Wild Food Challenge is a culinary adventure contest, challenging people to get out into their surrounding environments and create dishes using the wealth of wild ingredients found right at their back door. These ingredients can be sourced from beaches, forests, rivers, lakes, hills or backyards. Being outdoors, fishing, foraging, hunting and gathering should be as much fun as creating the dish itself. People are also encouraged to partner up with others and combine skills of gathering food and cooking to compete.

Anyone can enter, including kids, the only criteria is that your dish contains at least one wild ingredients. However the more local and wild ingredients the better!

Please bring along your dish, hot, cold, frozen, smoked, preserved or any way you like it.

Event info: Entry is free. Register on the day or in advance by emailing localwildfoodchallenge@feastcork.ie
